Sails at 5:00pm — an evening departure, which lands either side of sunset depending on the month; check the day before you plan the frame. Shoot it from public ground — the jetty at the channel mouth and the lock road put the whole hull broadside as it passes, which is closer than any terminal viewpoint gets you. A long lens is not required and a wide one is: the ship is the size of the frame.
