From the field
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa. Phone or compact only — NFL policy: no lens longer than 6 inches and no detachable lenses, plus the league clear-bag rule. A 1:00pm start in Florida sun: overhead light, hard shadows, and it is long over before the light turns around 7:30pm. Open to the sky, and the ground in this set where the kickoff slot changes the picture completely — the early-afternoon games are overhead sun on a bleached field, the late-afternoon ones run into the sunset, and the night games are floodlit throughout.
